All other ministries and services are centered around this by further showing others that God is love.

The heart of which is Jesus dying on the cross for us, and offering His Body and Blood in Holy Communion to us. Jesus is actually, physically present on the altar at Mass, and actually physically present in the Holy Communion, this is called transubstantiation.

Taking the bread and wine is probably the heart of Christian faith it is a time to remember Christ's death on the cross as a sacrifice for sin.
