Inuyasha is over, some episodes still come on though, on cartoon network. But the anime is finished. They created a sequel Inuyasha the final act. But that's not in English yet.

If you mean "Will they make more inuyasha episodes?" then it is not yet known,, If you read the wiki it says that "By June 2001, a clear ending to the series was not established as Takahashi still was not sure about how to end the relationship between InuYasha and Kagome. Furthermore, Takahashi stated that she did not have an ending to previous manga she wrote during the beginning, having figured them out as their serialization progressed" It might be possible but we just don't know yet. Maybe she gave up on the anime! Well, maybe in a couple of years or so ....... someone will continue the series! And believe me, InuYasha fans are watching it over and over again! I haven't even got over it once i watched the last episode! Still sad a bit and lonely... but i will just try to overcome that and watch Kamisama kiss it is similar to InuYasha! After that i will read the manga for last! So try to watch Kamisama Kiss and wait until someone picks the anime as a good one and can perfect the making of the characters and their attitudes! When that happens I'm sure it will continue!
Is Inuyasha and Inuyasha the Final Act based on the Manga?
Yes, but the anime skips around a lot and glosses over a lot of things talked about in-depth in the manga. Also, Season 4 of "Inuyasha" is almost completely fillers. The anime had caught up to the manga already published, and, to avoid halting production altogether, created completely random episodes that didn't serve a large plot purpose (so that they wouldn't interrupt the real story). Such as the character Ayame, created in the anime to be Koga's bride-to-be, even though she didn't exist in the manga. The manga, as with any book to a movie, is a lot better than the anime, but both are excellent!!
