The Prionailurus Iriomotensis (Iriomote cat) is not found on the IUCN red list of theatened species though they should be. However, they are critically endangered due to their small number left. Less than 100 remain on the Iriomote island in Japan( only place they are found). They also seem to be breeding with feral cats which is causing dilution of their gene pool. They have protected territories on the island but stray out and get hunted and eated by humans:(
Some sort of internal malady is/has occured in the animal. If this animal is a treasured pet, seek veterinary assitance to diagnose the problem(s).
