Bismillah (In the name of God) Sahih Muslim, Book 025, Number 5326: Mughira b. Shu'ba reported: When I came to Najran, they (the Christians of Najran) asked me: You read" O sister of Harun" (i. e. Hadrat Maryam) in the Qur'an, whereas Moses was born much before Jesus. When I came back to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) I asked him about that, whereupon he said: The (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after the names of Apostles and pious persons who had gone before them.
Maryam, which can be correctly interpreted as either Miriam or Mary. Usually, Moses' sister is called Miriam and the mother of Jesus, Mary. The Qur'an sometimes seems to mix these two people up because they have the same name.
You are confused. Mary I of Scotland (Mary Queen of Scots) was the daughter of Elizabeth's cousin. Elizabeth's half-sister was Mary I of England (Bloody Mary). She obviously did not kill her as Elizabeth had a long and fruitful reign after Mary's death.
Queen Mary I known as Bloody Mary on account of all the protestants she burnt at the stake. Not to be confused with Mary Queen of Scots.

Miriam is the Hebrew name for Mary. Miriam is also Moses' sister, the one who watches while Pharaoh's daughter pulls baby Moses out of the water and then offers to find a wetnurse.
No, not that we know of. The Blessed Virgin Mary's mother was Saint Ann, who had Mary late in life, after many years of praying for a child. Mary WAS the Immaculate Conception, not to get confused with the common thought of doctrine stating Mary HAD an Immaculate Conception.

At least six women are called Mary in the New Testament.Mary, mother of Jesus (Luke 1:27)Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:2)Mary (sister to Martha and Lazarus) (John 11:1)Mary, wife of Clopas and sister of Jesus' mother (John 19:25)Mary, the mother of James the younger and of Joseph (Mark 15:40)Mary, the mother of John, also called Mark (Act 12:12)Mary was a common name at the time or more appropriately in the Hebrew form as Maryām or Miriam. In Arabic, both the names Mary and Miriam are called Maryam.Miriam was the sister of Moses in the Old Testament so it can be interpreted that Moses' sister would also be called Mary. The Catholic Encyclopedia concludes that the Salome of Mark 15:40 is probably identical with the mother of the sons of Zebedee (James and John) in Matthew 27:55 and venerated as Saint Mary Salome, but she is not called Mary in the KJV.
