I would Personally have too say "no". All rivers are very important due to the fact that each river is in a different place. Yes the Mississippi river is important but not the most important river out of all of them.

Actually the Mississippi River forms most of the western border of Mississippi and ends in the Gulf of Mexico near New Orleans. The question is not about the Mississippi River - it is about the Missouri River.
