I would recommend Nikon D5000 camera a newer version of Nikon D60
The Nikon D90 is one of the newer Nikon cameras. It comes with a detachable lens that is compatible with other Nikon lenses.
Nikon D60 better dynamic range in the recorded images, plus newer processer.
The Nikon D70S is an update to the Nikon D70. New features of the D70S include a 0.2" increase in screen size, a newer battery with higher capacity and an increased 18mm angle of coverage from the flash.
It depends on the make of the lens and the mount type. Newer Canon lenses have an EF mount while Nikon lenses have a Nikkor mount. Though you can purchase conversion kits to put a Canon lens on a Nikon and vice versa.
The D3S from Nikon shoots HD video, it is one of the newer models, it takes great quality pics and video and falls sort of in the mid price range for the SLR models, I highly recommend it
yeah ... it will work on the newer cameras. However, you are better off with a sb400/600/800 or the better 900. They camera will auto detect the settings of these new lense ... vs. you messing around with settings.
Using the Nikon DSLR camera can bring you to a new understanding of how this technology works. With all the buttons and features of the newer cameras that are out there today, it can be easy to forget where cameras used to be. Just not being able to need to take film to be developed is enough to make many people want a digital camera.
You can buy batteries for around $25-$35. I have an older Nikon camera and still use the same battery that it came with. However, I believe the newer batteries stay charged longer.
newer
dirtier, dirtiest newer, newest
The D90 shutter is rated for 100,000 actuations. So if you shot 2100 photos per month (which is alot of shooting), you might need to have the shutter serviced for about $65 in 4 years. Of course by that time you would probably want to upgrade to a newer model. This rating is about double the actuation ratings for the low end Nikon, or Canon DSLRs. A pro grade camera might be good for 200,000, or more which puts this model in the mid grade category.
