Ouija Board is just a media for them to cross to our world. But Ouija Board is not only the media, another media might be the players, who started the game. Ouija Board can be a media to return them back, but if the spirit is too strong, and the player are amateurs, it might be difficult for the spirit to come home to its world.

It depends on how you think of it and how you play. If you're scared, nervous or anything like those then do NOT play. You could let a bad ghost in your life! And if you think it's JUST a board game, not a tool to contact ghosts, then also do NOT play because the same thing could happen. Also, never EVER burn it unless you can 100% avoid the noise which is impossible so don't burn it. If you burn it the spirits will scream and whoever hears the scream has less than 36 hours to live :(

The principle is totally the same, but the Board and the ball are different games. In both cases you can ask questions that are preferably answerable with yes or no ("Ouija" means "yesyes", being a contraction of French "oui" (meaning yes) and German "ja" (also meaning yes).
