You should be able to connect your components with no problem using the PTC Premium DisplayPort Male to HDMI Female Adapter.
Yes these voltages are close enough to be interchangeable.
Yes the voltage is close enough to work. What you have to be cautious about is the milliamp output of the adapter. Make sure that the output of the adapter is higher than the device that plugs into it.
A 9V 1A adapter will supply up to 9 Watts of power and a 9V 200mA adapter delivers up to 1.8W of power. The 200mA adaptor may not be able to supply enough power to a device that has been supplied with a 1A adapter. The 1A adaptor should operate equipment that originally used a 200mA adapter. Before using a different power supply, check that the outputs are both DC or both AC. If they are both DC, it is important to check that the polarity at the connector is the same for both. If AC and DC supplies are swapped or the polarity is swapped there is a risk that the equipment will be damaged.
It may not carry enough voltage to power a number of functions... but what is the adapter for? The answer however is that it almost certainly will not work.
Chimera oddly enough was female.
No, if your device require 3.0A, 1500ma adapter which is 1.5A is not enough, voltage wise is fine, your adapter adapter will get warm, then overheat, then very likely fail.
Only if the compression is high enough to be able to take advantage of the more controlled burn that premium provides.
It certainly is.
No, it is not recommended to substitute a 12 volt 0.5 amp AC adapter with a 7.5 volt 1 amp adapter. The voltage and amperage ratings need to match the requirements of the device you are powering. Using a lower voltage adapter may not provide enough power, and using a higher voltage adapter can potentially damage the device.

Assuming the source of the audio is an RCA female socket, (red and white colors) go to your local Radio Shack or other outlet and purchase Two (2) RCA,single male, double female "Y" cable adapters and Two (2) RCA stereo cables long enough for your needs. Connect each male adapter to your sound source and then connect the Red wire to one adapter and the White wire to the other adapter. Repeat this process with the other RCA cable. Connect one cable to your TV audio input and the second one to (I assume) to your amp. Enjoy!
No, the new adapter will not be able to safely supply enough current.
