There is no fire burning in Transylvania, PA - mainly because this municipality does not exist within the commonwealth. There IS, however, a mine fire that has been burning under Centralia, PA since 1962. The extensive fire has left the town ocmpletely abandoned, with most buildings razed and the population all but deserted.

Fire hoses are made out of fireproof materials, but when dry, they can still burn in a really hot fire. But usually during a fire, the hoses have water in them which cools them and keeps them from burning.
