North Korea is an enemy of the United States & South Korea. The Korean War ended only with cease-fire, not an armistice or peace agreement. The North Korean government often attacks South Korea and sometimes the United States. US & South Korean troops often use deadly force against North Korean incursions. Historically, the North Korean dictators attempt to distract attention away from the poverty & hardships of its civilian population by taking aggressive military action.
