i'd say so..... i had a 4.0 in my 1994 Ford Ranger (automatic trans), it's a good engine, my brother had the 3.0 ranger of the same year (but stick shift).... the 4.0 felt way more powerful...
now, is it as good as a 4.6? well, obviously not, but still, it's "big enough" for the car lol.... a 4 cylinder would be big enough too...
