No, his last code which he promised his name was in it tell us that it was Allen, the main suspect.
Arthur
The Police were never sure if the suspect they had found, Arthur Leigh Allen, was the Zodiac killer or not. Most evidence points to him, but the Police did not have enough sufficient evidence to legally throw him in prison. However, most believe that the Zodiac killer was Arthur Leigh Allen.
Vallejo, CA resident Arthur Leigh Allen was and still is the best suspect for the crimes of the Zodiac. Unfortunately Allen died in 1992 before he could be charged with the murders, some of them over 30 years old at the time of his death.
Possibly, however the suspect who was believed to be the Zodiac, Arthur Leigh Allen, died of natural causes in 1992. So most likely, no. The Zodiac is not wandering around Oklahoma.
If you believe as police do, that Arthur Leigh Allen was the Zodiac, then yes, he's dead. Allen died in 1992 in his home in Vallejo, CA.
It depends on which Zodiac your talking about. The original Zodiac from California, or the several killers that took the name after him. If Robert Graysmith (author of Zodiac and Zodiac:Unmasked) is correct, the California killer, Arthur Leigh Allen's parents were Ethan and Bernice Allen of Vallejo CA. The New York Zodiac, Eddie Seda, mother's name Carmen Gladys Alvarado.
The police were led to suspect Arthur Leigh Allen as the Zodiac killer due to circumstantial evidence, including matching handwriting samples and tips from acquaintances. However, there was not enough concrete evidence to conclusively link him to the crimes, and the Zodiac killer's identity remains officially unknown.
The Zodiac Killer - film - was created in 1971.
We may never know. Until a time when the Zodiac is positively identified only the killer knows the reasons he picked the name Zodiac. Author Robert Graysmith's favorite suspect Arthur Lee Allen, was obsessed with the name Zodiac, wore a Zodiac watch, loved codes and symbols, and fit the general description from eye witnesses. For Allen anyway, the Zodiac symbol was very important.
The duration of The Zodiac Killer - film - is 1.45 hours.
Brad Follmer was created in 2001.
An FBI geographical profiler placed the Zodiac's home in or close by the northern California town of Vallejo, making Arthur Leigh Allen a serious suspect. However Allen's handwriting, fingerprints and palm print did not match the evidence in the case. In 2003 a partial DNA profile of the Zodiac was obtained and it's comparison showed that Allen was not the Zodiac, someone that he denied being until his dying day in 1992. There are over 2,500 suspects that have been suggested as having been the Zodiac. Only Arthur Leigh Allen has ever been served with a search warrant - and he was not arrested! No one has EVER been arrested, much less tried in court in this case. So it is impossible to know for certain where the Zodiac Killer lived.
