Absolutely not. The AMD V-series is a low-end, low-power, single-core processor designed for use in netbooks and other low-intensity situations. The Athlon II series is a mid-range AMD processor line dedicated to the common consumer, offering every processor in between a 2.8 GHz dual-core and a 3.1 GHz quad-core for whatever needs you have. Go with the Athlon II series, starting at $56.99 on Newegg.com.

The Intel 6th Generation i7 is much better than the AMD Athlon.
I guess it is processor speed and stuff but i was wondering if this is proccessor is good for World Of Tanks? intel e6500 dual core processor with a Intel Eaglelake G41 chipset motherboard
dpending on the pentium number if its a pentium 4 5.8 dual core your in good shape! and also depends on the ram in the computer.
Yes.
That is an extremely good computer. 2.6 gigahertz is very good in a computer. Plus, it has 4 gigabytes of RAM, which is top-of-the-line quality RAM. Dual core processors are also the best kind out available on the market, and are highly favored. Athlon is the next best thing for Intel, though Intel is generally better, Athlon is just as good as Intel, so it is a very good laptop. It also has 320 gigabytes on the hard drive, which is excellent for numerous picture and video files. It should operate extremely fast. That computer is a very good choice.
No, the processor isn't good enough. You'll want a dual-core processor and preferably more RAM. Try Alienware.
i would say the core i3 by far. the athlon II x2 250u is an ultra energy efficient cpu. while not a bad cpu at all and very good for daily use, the 250u is only 1.6 ghz. the i3s are dual core but the hyperthreading can make it "act" as a 4 core with certain apps. Benchmark results are as follows using Passmark CPU Mark AMD Athlon II X2 250uhas secured a score of 980. Intel core-i3 550 has secured a score of 3160.

depends when you asked this question. by now its an older model, but still pretty decent.
The things it should have are good graphics, a large hard drive and RAM, and a Dual or Quad Core Processor.
