Well there's really no scientific way of knowing that. If you believe in a literal interpretation of The Bible then yes it is if not or if your not christian at allit might not bother you.
If your worrying I suggest you stop, so i have no way of saying if its going to happen but seeing as this is in science lets be scientific and fall back on probabilities.
Is it likely that satan/whoever will trick his way into power with the secret agenda of converting thousands and turning them away from god and starting the war to end all wars; or is it more likely that the world will continue as it has always done not listening to human prophesies about death and destruction.
My money's on the latter.

No one who knows anything about science thinks that 2012 will have a polar shift or anything else.
