No. The top hose goes to the engine. The bottom hose feeds from the engine to the heater core back to the radiator.
caused by leaking heater core not radiator heater it is under the dash hard ot get to if the leak is not to big use radiator stop leak otherwise fix is going to be big bucks
More than likely the heater core is leaking.
First thing to check is open hood and feel heater hoses going into heater core located on r/s of vehilcle if sitting in driver seat.If they are both very hot and feel the same temp, blend door in heater box is not operating correctly. If one heater hose is hot and the other is cooler than chances are the heater core is plugged. In either case a professional would be your best bet for repair.Hope info was helpful.
The heater core has no overflow hose. Cooling system is a closed loop system and the only overflow hose is the one going from the radiator cap to the reservoir. A thermostat that is stuck closed will cause the engine to overheat. Drain and flush the radiator, replace the thermostat, install a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water, bleed air from the system. You may also need to replace the radiator cap. Be sure and replace these parts with OEM parts. The heater core has no overflow hose. heater core is going bad.
Shag It Nad it will get horny and it willll e fixed
I'm not a mechanic / technician but it sounds like your heater core is leaking Have you noticed if your engine coolant level is going down ?
If you are smelling the sweet but unpleasant aroma of antifreeze, your vehicle is leaking it somewhere. A lot of the time the culprit is the water pump. They have a weep hole and when the bearing starts to fail it will begging leaking from this hole. I would start by getting myself a flashlight and start scanning your engine's water hoses for a leak. Check the mail hoses going to/from the radiator as well as the heater hoses leading to the firewall. Do you smell the antifreeze odor INSIDE the car? If so, it could be your heater core that's failing.
the heater core could be stopped up, or could be low of antifreeze, or the thermostat could be stuck open
Does it smell like burning antifreeze? Usally it means that the heater-core is going bad. If you do not service it it can be a lot worse. You will end up with Anitfreeze all over you passenger side floor board.
you could be low on antifreeze, could be a plugged radiator, or the radiator could be dirty. I had the same problem with my Dodge Ram and it was a plugged radiator
Overheating due to coolant going to the reservoir and not coming back to the radiator because of the bad cap.
