Read Frederick Otto Meksche's books on the subject. They are very interesting, but his concepts are too involved to summarize here. One book is on the problems with atomic weapons in tactical usage and that the US division is overly large depending on too many support troops in the rear without enough front line troops to be effective. The other book is on the problems of atomic weapons in strategic usage. One may or may not agree with his ideas but either way they are interesting and easy to read.
What gave you that idea? It isn't obsolete in any way. In fact every Hydrogen bomb contains an Atomic bomb as its primary stage.
The fear that Germany was already well on the way to building an atomic bomb and could make first use of them against either England or the USSR at any moment.
The cities were rebuild in about 15 years with the cooperation of the United States.
It is the other way around, the use of the atomic bomb played a role in the weapons race.
An atomic bomb is a type of nuclear weapon that releases energy through nuclear fission (splitting of atomic nuclei). Nuclear weapon is a broader term that encompasses atomic bombs, as well as hydrogen bombs which release energy through nuclear fusion (combining atomic nuclei).
Total war means any and all available weapons are used. Example(s): WW2 was a total war because the atomic bomb was used. Vietnam was a LIMITED War; because the Atomic bomb was not used/limited to Non-Atomic Weapons.
Someone wanted to make bomb like the atomic bomb so that they could end the war in a quick way so that there would be no more land invasions
The atomic bomb was the most significant weapon of its time. What it demonstrated was that with these weapons, entire nations could be destroyed in a matter of days.
The destructive radius of an atomic bomb can vary depending on its size and yield. A typical atomic bomb might have a blast radius of a few miles, with the most powerful bombs capable of causing devastation over tens of miles.
Figure out a way to remove the nuclear material, and there will be no reaction. Unfortunately, atomic bombs are usually dropped from the sky, detonating on impact.
The Enola Gay, the US bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, does not relate to Karl Marx in any meaningful way.
Which war? if ww1 barbed wire if ww2 atomic bomb
