Average ranges of blood pressure for adult men and women, are 110 - 140 over 60 - 80. Other blood pressure ranges are different for children and adolescents.
The top number, or systolic number, refers to your heart's contraction. The bottom number, or diastolic number, is your heart's relaxation.
Additional factors that can affect are: gender, physical development, body position, and can vary with age.
Blood pressure is usually lower in the morning after a night of sleep than later in the day after activity. It also increases after a large intake of food. Emotions and strenuous activity usually cause the systolic number to rise.
Lastly, overall health status can affect blood pressure. By age 70, there can be as much as 75% decrease in cardiac output because the body systems that control blood pressure deteriorate. The best way to maintain a healthy heart, at any age, is to exercise regularly. Assuming no heart conditions, maintaining a consistent level of aerobic exercise improves the working capability of the heart. In older adults, a daily walking regimen is one of the best exercises to maintain good heart performance.
112/64 or thereabouts is generally considered normal - although I personally still hold the slightly older view that as long as you're under 120/80 (which you are), and have no prior history of cardiovascular disease (stroke, heart attacks etc) there's no problem at all.
Obviously, we should all make a concerted effort to keep our BP's as low as we possibly can, as evidence clearly shows this has major long term benefits for health. So keep a healthy blood pressure by eating properly (a balanced, low salt, low cholesterol diet, which plenty of variety and not too much red meat and saturated fat), exercising a few times a week, drinking alcohol in moderation and giving up smoking if appropriate!
It certainly falls within the range of normal, yes. The systolic (upper number) is very good, the diastolic is surprisingly low, but that doesn't necessarily mean a problem. ASk your doctor next time you see him or her.
Unless you're very Fit, this would be on the low side, indicating a possibility of Hypotension.
I'm not exactly sure, but I went to the doctor and she said mine was 96 over 68 and she said it was normal but I'm gonna be 16 if that makes a difference.
this depends on your age, for an adult the ideal blood pressure should be 120 over 80
It depends. My first thought would be heart failure.

A systolic blood pressure of 166 is high for a 65 year old female. Talk with your health care provider to determine if you should work to lower your systolic blood pressure, given your particular health history.
The healthy 'average' blood pressure is 120/80.
