Is the book The Secret based upon biblical principles?

I would have to say yes..... Of course I know God is not a Genie in the bottle, but Jesus (God Himself) did say in Mark 11:24; "I tell you, you can pray for Anything and if you Believe that you've Received it, it will be yours".... which sounds very similar to the Secret's "creative process" of Ask, Believe, Recieve. The Secret also points out that one of the first things you should begin to do in order for this "Law of Attraction" to work is practice Gratitude in your daily life, which of course is a huge biblical principle. For example; Thessalonians 5:16-18; Always be Joyful, Never stop praying. Be thankful in All circumstances... The Secret also teaches about the importance of Faith, or un-waivering Faith I think they call it, which, happens to be one of the most talked about and important principles within The Bible. The Bible is full of stories of greatness and miracles, things that might seem impossible in the natural, that all revolved around people or groups of people having great Faith; Abraham and Sarah, David, Moses, Noah, the parting of the Red Sea, nearly all of Jesus' teachings, and dozens more. The lastly we have the Law of Attraction, which is never directly called the Law of Attraction in the Bible, but the law itself is supported numerous times throughout the Bible with statements and promises made by God and Christ. For instance Hebrews 4:12; For the word of God is alive and Powerful, it exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.... and there are literally dozens of other verses in the Bible that support this great Law. Don't forget that you have great Power built within you, for God said that we are made in his image, made to be Like God. If you are not believing in God to bring you everything in life you could ever want or need then you are not fully utilizing the gift of his Power which he has freely given you. The Bible was not only meant to lead us to eternal life through the salvation of Jesus Christ, and while that may be it's primary and ultimate purpose, the Bible is also meant to teach us how to live each day in order the have the best experience possible before we go. God wants you to live a blessed, abundant life while you are here, and he will give to you everything you could ever possibly need or want....if you just believe. So while "The Secret" is not the Bible, nor should it ever be used solely as a guide to this life or the afterlife, many of the principles and practices discussed in "The Secret" are in fact, very significant Biblical principles that work 100% of the time when used in your daily life.
