well in most cases the engine cover is a safety so as the average owner doesnt go to check the oil and burn them selves, plus if you throw a belt you wont dent the hood (dunno why i said that) but id elave it on if you can it woudl probably void the waranty
Yes it will fit the Hyundai Sante Fe.
spark plug cover:)
Pop the hood. Remove the plastic engine cover. Filter is located on top of engine on the right side. It has a round black plastic cover. Turn to open it (CounterClockwise). Pull the entire plastic cover and filter assembly out (Keep it vertical- do not tip it or oil will spill out onto your engine). Replace gaskets and filter. Screw back in. I find it amazingly easy, you don't have to climb under car or jack it up. ALL cars should do it this way.
It is under the timing belt cover near the crankshaft pully / harmonic balancer.
Under the cover where the spark plug wires go into on top of the engine.
On the top of the engine. (take off the plastic engine cover) It is in a black plastic housing that screws off. You have to buy the paper filter and 2 o rings from the Hyundai dealer.
they are located under the cover strip down the center of the engine. strokerace
A crankshaft sensor, on a Hyundai XG350, can be installed by simply plugging the new sensor into the slot of the old sensor. The sensor can be located on the back of the engine cover.
Follow the bottom radiator hose to the engine block. The thermostat is behind the oval cover.
it follows the radiator pump on the right side of the engine you can see it better if you take off the cover.
Under the dust cover. Remove the 4 bolts that are covering it.
it your standing in from of the car it is under the big plastic cover on the right side.
