The crank shaft runs right down the middle of the lower engine. The connecting rods & pistons are attached to it.
You will usually find the crankshaft position sensor at one end or the other of the engine block. Some engines will have it bolted to the block near the front pulley. Others will have it bolted to the bell housing, right over the flywheel. In any case you should find it near one end of the crankshaft or the other.

Itis mounted to the front face of the engine block right behind the crankshaft pulley and often covered by a small shroud. You can usually see the wires leading to the connector plug in that area, at bottom of the crank pulley.
Any crankshaft is inside the engine bolted to the bottom of the engine block. Visually from the outside it would be in the center of the engine horizontally, right where the oil pan meets the engine block.
The Crankshaft Sensor is located on the right rear of the engine block. It is about 6 or 7 inches from the flywheel.
Crankshaft sensor is located on the right side of the cylinder block behind or under the starter. It is fitted into the rear crankshaft oil seal hausing.
