Dragon is better than Rune so just think about that... If ur a member otherwise DONT buy Corrupt Dragon armour because it only lasts 30 minutes and will waste your money unless you just want to keep it in ur bank or inventory. F2p cant have dragon anyway so only members should buy anything that has to do with dragon armour.

∙ 12y agoMy choice here would be the granite shield because it's cheap, almost as effective for melee, and awesome range defence. if you REALLY love the strength bonus, get the obsidian, duh. dragon square is not really necessary as the price doesn't pay for the slightly extra defence stats.
Prices: granite shield=33.9k
obby shield(Toktz-ket-xil)=26.6k

First off i would like to say i have 98 strength and im approching 99 and i used the dragon scimitar because it pwns all other weapons for str training. A rune 2h is slow, doesn't allow you to wear a shield/defender, and its not very strong. A dskimmy is fast, lets you wear a shield/defender, and is quite strong. rune2h costs 60k dskimmy costs 100k , both extremly cheap , another thing is that if you didn't do the monkey madness quest to beable to use a dskimmy , use a dlong if you can wield a dragon weapon there is no reason you should even think about using a rune weapon DRAGON SKIMMY>ALL OTHER STR TRAINING WEAPONS

Wear full adamant or rune and use a rune shortsword/longsword in the stab/lunge stance of fighting. Equip the anti-dragon shield.
