The Earth is not technically an ellipse since an ellipse is a planar figure. But one can ask if the Earth is an ellipsoid, which is a 3-dimensional figure.

The Earth's shape is usually described as an oblate spheroid, which means its diameter is greater through the equator than from pole to pole. Oblate spheroids are ellipsoids (in fact they can be swept out by rotating an ellipse around the pole, where the minor diameter of the ellipse is aligned with the axis of rotation).

That the diameter of the earth is greater thought the equator than pole-to-pole is due to the centrifugal force created by the rotation of the earth

the earth is generally round to some people but accordin to scientist the earh is spheri cal in shape

The world is round, however, the world is not perfectly round because it is slightly oval. The distance between the north and south pole is shorter than the distance between the opposite side of the world at the equator. Also, moutain, cliffs and other raise or drops in the landscape will cause the world to not be perfectly round.

Neither. Both ovals and circles are two-dimensional shapes. Earth is three-dimensional. Earth is what is called an oblate spheroid, meaning it is wider around the equator than it is from pole to pole.
