There are wonderful pictures from space of earth. In them you can see it is round. The Ancient Greeks knew it was round.
Galileo did not prove that Earth was not flat (It had already been agreed that it was round). Galileo invented the telescope and used it to prove that there were objects which did not orbit the Earth, supporting Copernicus' Heliocentric model for the universe. The Earth was known to be round by the ancient Greeks, but I do not who it found out initially (sorry).
Ferdinand Magellan is often credited with being the first navigator to sail around the earth and prove that the Earth is round, although he died during the voyage and it was completed by his crew. Magellan's expedition provided substantial evidence for the Earth's sphericity.
Pythagoras stated the earth was round
how can you prove that earth is a sphere by looking at the pole st
Horizon observation: If you observe a ship sailing away, you will notice that its hull disappears before the top of the mast, indicating the curvature of the Earth. Satellites: Images from satellites show the Earth as a spherical shape. Space travel: Astronauts have viewed the Earth from space and confirmed its roundness.
The Earth is round the earth was round
Columbus originally was determined to prove that
The Earth is round the earth was round
You can look at a picture of it taken from space, or the moon
To prove he earth/world was round.
to prove that the Earth was round.
A boat at sea, alone, does not prove that is earth is round. However, boats can be used to prove that earth is round. This is because if the earth was flat, eventually a boat would sail to the end of earth and fall off the edge. This has never happened, so it can be inferred that the earth is round. Also, a boat can sail all the way around the world and end up right where it started, which proves that the earth is round.
One mathematical evidence that can prove the Earth is round is the observation of the curvature of the Earth's surface. As one travels long distances, the angle of the horizon changes, which can be calculated using geometry to show that the Earth is not flat but curved.

the answer is IT HELPED TO PROVE THAT THE EARTH IS ROUND!!!!!!
Yes, it is. Satellite imaging will negate the hypothesis and prove that Earth is round, not flat.
