The upper kindom is located in the south of Egypt and the lower kindom north. This is because the Nile flows north.
South. Since the Nile flows north, their 'upper' meant higher land which was south of the delta
It is actually higher in lower Egypt
Although Upper Egypt is actually the southern part of Egypt on a compass, it is called Upper Egypt because its elevation is higher than Lower Egypt which is the northern part of Egypt on a compass but has lower elevation and is therefore is called Lower Egypt.
upper Egypt
Upper Egypt
because its elevation is higher(mountains) so back in the day they called it upper Egypt cuz it was higher in altitude.
Is the scenic byway upper or lower peninsula
lower egypt is north and upper egypt is south because of the elevation. lower egypt is down hill and upper egypt is up hill
Upper Egypt.. Bkuz it had a higher rank
A river always flows from the highest to lowest elevation, and so Lower Egypt is in the North and Upper Egypt is in the South. It seems backwards, but it does make sense because Lower Egypt has lower elevation than Upper Egypt so the delta empties there. It obviously makes more sense that a river flows downhill instead of uphill.
Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt
the egyptians were higher and lower class upper and lower Egypt
Because upper Egypt is on higher ground than lower Egypt, another reason is the way the Nile flows. Upper Egypt was the part that had the first part of the river Nile flowing through it. As the river went lower as it flowed to the sea, the other part was labelled Lower Egypt. It can be confusing because Upper Egypt is in the south of the country and Lower Egypt is the north.
The crowns of upper and lower Egypt were combined because King Menes combinded upper and lower Egypt. He decidd to combine upper and lower Egypt and the crowns.
