∙ 7y agoI'd have to say that your elf on the shelf is definitely real. It exists. It means something to you. That makes it real.
Now, whether or not it has magic and can communicate with me... that depends on a lot of things. It depends a little bit on love, on belief, on imagination, but especially on magic. And my magic is pretty strong, so my elves can be just as real as I am... but sometimes I need them to do a shift at the North Pole, so if they don't always move when they should, it's just because I needed them, and they were too tired. It takes a lot of energy for them to do stuff when they are far away from my magic.
