The rear bracket is usually shorter because it only needs to go through an insubstantial part of the frame, instead of the whole fork. If it's long enough, though, it shouldn't make a difference.
take off wheel, then take off caliper by the 2 mounting bolts. do not let caliper hang by brake hose, tie up to spring if possible so your brake hose does not get broke. take off caliper mount, then slide rotor off. when putting back on caliper, push caliper cup in to bore, all the way with a c clamp. put caliper holder back on. then put brake pads in caliper. place caliper over rotor, and tighten down.
Youll probably have to drill it out and get a new bolt to mount the caliper with.
if you have disc brake on the back its your caliper, it might be not releasing and if you have drums on the back a part might be broke or come off.
you need to use a rear brake caliper piston turning tool... you can't use the push method... the piston have to be turned as they screw out as the pads wear. i found out the hard way.. i broke 2 c-clamps...
