HeartGold and Soulsilver will release in Japan in September of 2009. The games have not been announced for release in the USA yet. Most likely, they will come out in early 2010.

I'm sorry to say, but there isn't a super rod in HeartGold or SoulSilver. I have yet to go to the Kanto region so check in the houses and look for fisherman.

To explore different regions in Pokémon you must buy the next game. Only one Pokémon game has yet to feature two regions and that is Soulsilver/Heartgold.
