Can Moses' parting of the Red Sea be seen as a miracle?
----------------------- If it really happened, the parting of the Red Sea can only be considered a miracle. It is such an improbable miracle that some Christian apologists have sought to explain that perhaps it was not the Red Sea but a lesser body of water, such as the Reed Sea, that Moses parted. This is unnecessary, since if God is able to perform miracles, he could surely perform great miracles. As to whether the parting of the Red Sea really happened, over 90 per cent of scholars are reported to believe that the Exodus from Egypt never happened as described in the Bible. Without an Exodus, there was no parting of the Red Sea and therefore no miracle.
