Yes. They try to "educate" the public with mixed messages. For example, they advise against giving pets as gifts because it often means the decision to adopt was made on impulse and does not ensure a "furever" home for the animal. However, they advertise that black cats are the "gift that keeps on giving" well after Halloween and Christmas! The Cambridge & District Humane Society even goes as far as discounting the price of black cats for their "black friday special". So come on! Get em' while they're still hot! And black!
