In other words, we never intended to exterminate cows, chickens, pigs or other domesticated animals in any way, so that makes the analogy completely irrelevant. Saying the meat industry is the animal Holocaust is like saying predation is animal serial murder. Humans ate meat for hundreds of thousands of years. We used to hunt for our meat until the domestication of livestock, about ten thousand years ago. The problem in this day and age is that the human population is so huge we need to slaughter animals in massive quantities to satisfy demands.
