No. The moon appears to be the same diameter, (or width), as the sun because while the moon is 10,000,000 times smaller than the sun, it is exactly 10,000,000 times closer to the earth. This is the reason that in a solar eclipse the moon perfectly covers the sun from the perspective of those viewing the eclipse from Earth.
