That person obviously must be used to all happy things and when a tragedy comes up instead of sheding a tear, he/she recalls it as stupid.. and children know their mothers shoe size all the time and plus even if the boy didnt he could easily pick up one of her shoes and look at the size... and plus most people are yes buried barefoot and halflength anyhow but how would the child know that? he is trying to do something miraculously nice for his mother... Yes it's actually based on a True story. A man named Bruce Pardo shot his 8 year old Niece in the face and shot other Family members at a Christmas party all while he was dressed as Santa. The little girl did survive but a lot of family members died. You can Google this and you'll find out it's based on a true story although the Movies are a bit of exageration for the big theater and they don't show the true story behind the massacre. Sometime after the shooting there was a song written about it called Black Christmas. The person who answered NO is wrong.
