The integrated graphics card is able to run games on a lot of PC Laptops, but considering the extremely large resolution on the Retina Display means that it wont be able to play games on full resolution.
The 11" Macbook Air at $999 will do all you want and is a great laptop.
It really depends what your going to be using the laptop for, if its gaming an alien is hands down the best laptop. However CNET ranks MacBook's very highly as well.
Depends on what you need it for! Gaming: Alianware Work: HP Elite book IMO, the best laptop you can buy is a Macbook Pro.
When it comes to gaming laptops, you want one that will hold a lot of data. I recommend a MacBook Air because it is durable and light. It holds a lot of data at a reasonable price.
I would suggest a macbook laptop. There are very thin ones, and they are VERY good for gaming. So far mac computers are the best products ever.
The very best Mac laptop is the 15" Macbook Pro with Retina display. However it is very expensive at $2,599. The 13" Macbook Pro with Retina display at $1,799 is just as good only slightly smaller. The negative of all of these is that they use flash storage which is not near as large as the 13" Macbook Pro without Retina display that has a price of $1,199 and a 500GB hard drive. They also do not have a DVD/CD drive like the base model 13". For this reason IMO the base model 13" Macbook Pro without Retina display is the best Macbook Pro and is also the cheapest. If you are a student, teacher, or government worker you can buy the base model 13" Macbook Pro for $999.
A MacBook isn't a book, its a laptop computer.

It is what Apple calls their laptop computer. There are 2 versions. The MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro.
