Best Answer

No, the south is richer than the north due to the fact that the northern region of Brazil is taken up by the Amazon rainforest which has a rough climate ( tropical and heavy rainfall) resulting in the dominance of vegetation and lack of agriculture.

Is Brazil part of the US?

No South America is a continent. The US is a country in the continent of NorthAmerica. What? The USA means a group of states in the Northern part of a continent named America, which has 2 other parts, the Central and the South, there existing a canal (Panama) between these latter two, connecting the Atlantic (in the Caribbean) with the Pacific (from Southwest of Panama country westwards to Hawaii) oceans, thus South America is real part of nothing for the USA, and vice-versa.
