Let's think about that. Physics taught us you don't get something for nothing. Everything that is released by the oceans is returned to the oceans via all channels, which includes fresh water lakes and rivers. This is what keeps salt water balanced. Unless there is an "alien from space" adding salt to our oceans, no they can't get to salty for life. Our world contains a finite measure of salt.
Yes, as all seas are salty, the Southern Ocean that surrounds the continent is salty, too.
its because its too salty you wouldn't want to drink salty water would you?
The water will taste salty and not good to drink, ocean water is salty and if you drink too much of it you can die.
its called the "dead sea" for a reason -__- too much salt will kill anything
someone was eating macdonalds fires and spilled a package of salt into the ocean. then everyone did it too!
They can be. It's all up to whether it has an outlet or not. Lakes with outlets are generally freshwater unless they are too close to the ocean and get intruded with seawater. If they have no outlet the minerals accumulates and the lake becomes salty.
'Deaad Sea; means that there is no life in the sea. Reason; it is too salty to support any life form, even those that are found in the 'salty' oceans.
Dolphins live in the sea water, but do not drink it. The ocean water is too salty for the dolphins system to handle.
It's unhealthy to drink ocean water because of all of the sodium (salt). And too much salt is unhealthy and [especially after a while] tastes gross. Salty!
Because it is.
No, but some fishes can feel uncomfortable with water that is too salty, or not salty enough -- too hot, too warm, or too cool.
The question makes no sense. Water being extremely salty inhibits the presence of life; it does not support it. The Dead Sea, the saltiest sea on Earth is practically devoid of life because of its saltiness.
