no, not at all it only takes PC100 RAM at a maximum of 512MB or 1GB I think only 512MB. I have a Latitude CPx J750GT PIII 750mhz that won't boot with PC133 from a C610 which is another C series laptop.
Near 2000. If you enter the service tag number on the dell support site, you can learn when it was manufactured and the original configuration of the hardware.
From all good electrical retailers. It would make sense to go directly to Dell to purchase a Dell product. On the internet you could use Amazon, Ebay, Curry's, Comet and many more. On the high street Curry's and PC world are likely to be the best places to find the Dell Latitude CPX.

No you can't
I was told by a Dell representative that it absolutely will not work. WRONG!!! I suppose I'm a little on the edge and I live for "digital drama" so I did it anyway. And guess what? It works perfect. Touche! Although I agree with the other post where a man suggested to upgrade the ram. The original Dell Latitude CPX has 128 MB of ram (wimpy) So I simply bought a 256 MB ram card for $40.00. Oila... Now I have a kickbutt little laptop. Don't be afraid to try. It works perfect. dmc00747
