Slender is loosely based on the Marble Hornets webseries on youtube, that is an adaptation of the popular Slender Man myth that originated on the Something Awful forums a few years ago. Briefly, no one really knows what the Slender Man's purpose is or why he sometimes starts stalking certain individuals. It is not known what happens when he captures a person - it is assumed they are killed or possibly simply disappear. In the game Slender, you are an unknown person with an unknown connection to the Slender Man. Your task is to collect 8 notes that are placed around an enclosed forest location, while evading the Slender Man. Based on the messages in the notes, it is assumed that these notes have been placed by someone who was being followed by the Slender Man before you.
