The basics of keyboards, and the piano in general, are easy to learn; like, playing hands separately, simple melodies and learning how to play chords.
Like anything, it depends on how good you want to get and what you want to be able to do with the instrument. Learning how to play a few chords to accompany people singing at a party is relatively easy, learning to play like Chopin and Bill Evans is a lot harder. Either way, any instrument only takes a few 100 hours to get the hang of and then a few 1000 hours to get good at. Then, times that by 5-7, with study, and you can become a master.
The basics of the piano are easy,... the fancy stuff is pretty hard. It's in the middle of the pack as far as difficulty of learning is concerned, but there are so many things you can do with a piano that you can't do with other instruments that it's worth the trouble (in my opinion).
