It depends on what angle you are looking at it. If it is straight forward then yes the screen size and viewing size are the same.
A 17" is about right 19" if you don't mind the size.
viewable size
The Philips model PET7402/37 features a 7" Lcd screen for viewing.
A 52 or 55 inch would not be too large. Remember HD viewing will a different experience.
I like the larger models... for example the WD-82738 which has an 82" size screen. This makes for the best viewing pleasure, but be sure your room is large enough for this size of screen.
I would say 4:3 is the best for. It also depends on if it is for printing or for viewing on a TV screen. You should also look at the print size and the screen size.
If you have a Nintendo Ds it is the same size screen, but it is a little bit bigger.
Yes it is
LCD is the narrowest, not to mention the size of the lcd tv makes it less narrower since you must stand back farther.
Depends. The tv size should really depend on the viewing distance. Take this though into consideration. 19inches all the way to 90inches all have the same amount of pixels. 1920X1080. So think of it as a stretchy fabric, if you sit too close to a large HD screen the screen wount seem that "HD" anymore. So basically gauge the ideal viewing distance and buy a tv size that fits that.
If you want a demo to run the 'same' then you are limited to the iPad screen size. Laptops screens go up to 17 inches in size. A demo that looks great at large screen size may not look the 'same' on the smaller iPad, especially the iPad Mini. The iPad 2 has a 1024x768 size screen.
For optimum viewing, your eyes should be level with the middle of the screen when you're seated in your normal viewing position.
