NO!
In most cases it is probably just the level sensor, which is located in the washer tank. Fairly cheap part I think
Attached to the lower part of the fluid tank.
Auto part stores, Walmart, Target, gas stations.
No. Windshield washer fluid is specially designed for removing road grime, dust, bugs, etc. from windshields. It is formulated to keep it from freezing at low temperatures, but it is not antifreeze, the stuff in the radiator. The two systems are separate.
It could be the windscreen washer motor
The sensor is in the fluid container so take it off the vehicle and disconnect it and take the whole thing to the dealer who will have the part and gladly show you how to put it in.
If it still lights up after filling the thank, you probably have to change your windshield washer fluid sensor. You have to open the plastic protection back of your front right wheel, (2 screws) and 2 more screws fallowig the same plastic under the car. The sensor is the one over the thank, third part thank further away. ($60 at Mercedes dealer). Good lock!
To make windshield washer antifreeze, mix one part distilled water with one part isopropyl alcohol or windshield washer fluid concentrated formula. You can also use a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 3 cups water for a natural alternative. Ensure the mixture is well-blended and store it in a clean container, ready for use. Always avoid using regular antifreeze, as it can be harmful to the vehicle's components and the environment.
Most likely on the bottom of the washer fluid bottle. Where you add fluid. If the filler neck goes into the fender that's where it is. If the bottle is visible it may be on the bottom of that, if not there, it is part of the wiper motor.
If you are referring to a vehicle you put a 50/50 mix of distilled water and coolant in the radiator and overflow resivoir. You also put distilled water in the battery if it is not sealed. Also the windshield washer resivoir holds washer fluid which is part water.
My daughter has a 2001 dodge neon. Her windshield washer does not work either. Washer fluid reservoir was full, pump worked fine. I found a broken plastic "Y" divider (to the left and right side of the windshield) on the hose from the pump to be snapped off. It is located under the fibreglass material on the underside of the hood, it clips onto the underside of the hood, The pump was in fact pumping but the fluid was going on the ground behind the motor. I'm still trying to find that plastic part. I'm not saying this is definitely your problem, but it's something you can look for!!
More information please. Which part of the system. The wipers? The wiper arms? The linkage conecting the wiper arms to the motor? The motor? The windshield washers? Windshield washer pump? Etc? Please be more specific.
