The whole point of the comics was to expand upon the Sonic Universe. The comics try to explore the theory of a multiverse meaning that there are millions of Alternate realities in which there are endless different versions of Sonic. The main Sonic focused in the comics is known as Sonic Prime, the most powerful incarnation of Sonic the Hedgehog.
