seriuosly?!!!
This is a really dumb question, think about it for 2 seconds, go on try it!
OK, well I hope you got it all by yourself, but in case you didn't: when your side of the earth is pointing towards the sun it's daytime right. But oh no! the Earth rotates! So after only a few hours your side of the Earth will now be pointing away from the Sun. Shazam! It's nighttime!
The time of day is due to the earths rotation. Rotation is the number of times the earth revolves around itself.
The Earth rotates on its axis as it revolves around the sun.
well if ur talking about water zones then 3 witch are twilight zone midnight zone and light zone
Rotation . . . . . the "Day" Revolution . . . . the "Year"
The earths rotation causes day and night, wind, tides and ocean currents and its also responsible for the different seasons.
The earth's rotation is described as a counter-clockwise movement which passes through the north and south poles. This is what will result to day and night.
Earth rotates on its axis and it revolves around the sun. Both things conserve earth's angular momentum. Each rotation is a day, and each solar revolution is a year. The days and years both help us mark the passage of time. Other than that, there are not too many similarities.
Earth days are normally rounded to about 24 hours, but in fact the time it takes for Earth to complete a full rotation (i.e. a day) is 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds. A year is approximately 365.24 days.
Revolution would be a whole year but day and night are caused by rotation on its axis. Hope this helped =)
Rotation . . . . . the "Day" Revolution . . . . the "Year"
Earth's rotation on its axis causes day and night. Earth's revolution around the sun causes the seasons.
The term rotation refers to the Earth turning on its axis once per day. The term revolution refers to the earth circling the sun once per year.
the seasons are caused from earths revolution(1 circle around the sun) while day and night occur from earths rotation (earth spinning on its axis)
Earth's rotation is slowing slightly with time; thus, a day was shorter in the past. This is due to the tidal effects the Moon has on Earth's rotation.
the presence of day and night proved its rotation
If you are at exactly the north or south pole the measurement is in Revolutions per Day And that speed is 1 Revolution Per Day.
Earth rotates on its axis and it revolves around the sun. Both things conserve earth's angular momentum. Each rotation is a day, and each solar revolution is a year. The days and years both help us mark the passage of time. Other than that, there are not too many similarities.
