Today the Trinity Doctrine is probably the most objected against doctrine within the Christian faith. The main reason for this is quite simply misunderstanding. The concept of the Trinity (within the one God there exists three divine persons) is very often falsely defined as 'three gods in one god' or 'three persons in one person' when it is quite simply not either of these. Through these misrepresentations of the Trinity are formed many of the arguments that are used against it.
Other misunderstandings come the lack of knowledge in regards to a doctrine called the 'Hypostatic Union', which explains that Jesus, whilst existing in God's form, made himself of no effect by taking upon himself flesh; becoming fully God and fully man. Many arguments neglect this doctrine, which is linked with the Doctrine of the Trinity, when speaking of the incarnate Jesus Christ.
Other common objections usually stem from a lack of knowledge of the roles that each person (The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) plays and how they relate and work with one another.
Also, an error that is very commonly made is something called a "category error" where, for example, the argument is made that the Father and the Son are not equal to one another. However, what is being referred to here is the category of authority, not of nature, where as when the Trinity doctrine teaches that the Father and Son are co-equal this is referring to their nature, not authority, just as a husband and his wife are equal in nature, the husband is called to be head over his household.
The concept of the Trinity is very biblical, even though nowhere in scripture ever explicitly explains a detailed triune concept of God, it is very clearly implicitly assumed.
What IS the christian concept of a holy trinity: no christian understands it!
Judaism has nothing to say about the trinity, since that concept is outside of Jewish belief.
The false doctrine of the trinity refers to the belief that God exists as three distinct persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) that are somehow one. This belief contradicts the traditional Christian understanding of God as one being in three persons, known as the Trinity.
For some religious sects it is but for some others the trinity theory is not Scriptural only a concept out of the mind of men.
The word "trinity" is not found in the Bible, only its concept (ie., Father, Son, Holy Spirit).
The Evil or Unholy Trinity is a play on the Christian doctrine of the Holy Trinity, an opposite if you will. It is alleged to be composed of Satan, the Antichristy, and False Prophet of Biblical prophecy.
There is no mention of the words or the concept of the Trinity Doctrine in the Bible. The expressions "God the Son" and "God the Holy Spirit" never occur in the Bible. The Trinity Doctrine is derived from inferences and assumptions from various Bible verses taken out of context.
there is no mention of such a concept in the Hebrew Bible, and Jews feel that the idea violates the notion of one God.
false
Before Tertullian expounded the concept of Trinity at the beginning of the third century, there was beleif in God the Father, Jesus his Son, and in the Holy Spirit.
It would be a false concept since e is not rational.
