The National Mall is a national park in Washington D.C. with wide-open area for people to walk through and enjoy nature and just relax, even though it has "Mall" doesn't mean its a shopping center.
This is the National Mall, which includes the grassy space from the Capitol to the Washington Monument, and the western end containing the Lincoln Memorial and its reflecting pool.
There is one Washington Monument in honor of our first President, George Washington. It is located on the National Mall along Constitution Avenue. It is located between 17th Street and 15th Street. The other "monuments" are memorials. Some of these include the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, George Mason Memorial, Iwo Jima Marine Corps. The Capitol Building is the west border, and the Washington Memorial (or even further back, the Lincoln Memorial) is the west border. In between them, in the National Mall, there are a collection of National Museums and the Washington Monument.
The Capitol Building serves as the Eastern terminus while the Lincoln Memorial serves as the Western terminus (it's a long walk from one end to the other). In the middle, closer to the Lincoln Memorial, is the Washington Monument.

Swimming or wading is prohibited in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
