In this case I do not believe it would be the appropriate path. Engineering requires much more than vocational training can offer. In fact, most who seek this career path are in a college prep program in high school, because the prerequisite coursework is at a much higher level. For example, at the college or university level, the math requirements alone are calculus I, II, III, differential equations and more. In addition, you must have a solid foundation in chemistry and physics. I just cannot see where vocational training who be beneficial in this case.
