The biggest water buffalo ever seen was probably mistaken for a gaur it was so big, or may have been a gaur and mistaken for a water buffalo (Hey, it happens!). But really, there is no recorded or verified records of any "biggest" water buffalo ever seen. Most buffalo get up to 2650 lbs or 2700 lbs, but it's possible the largest probably weighed close to or around 3000 lbs. But as mentioned, that is yet to be verified.
