No, the world won't end in 2012. All the claims about the Mayan calendar are nonsense, and it has nothing to do with Leap Year. The Mayan calendar doesn't say anything about the world ending - it's simply the end of a calendar cycle and a new one will start. The silly claims about 2012 are made by people trying to make $ by selling books etc or by people who couldn't be bothered doing proper research into what the end of the calendar means.
