"You can make a heaven out hell, or hell out of heaven" - J. Milton
I think its a matter of where our perception of the worlds current affairs comes from. If your gather your current events from main stream media, then yes the world is in a state of crisis only because that's all main stream reports. If a majority of what is being told to the masses is what to be afraid of, isn't safe to assume that the masses will be afraid?
Our perception of the world ( for most ) is that which falls under the concision of the media outlets. In other words, what fits between the commercial slots of the networks program schedule. I tend to think that there a far more heart touching stories of indivuals throughout world illustrating acts of kindness and compassion. Far more stories of people achieving success though adversity. If only those stories had equal airtime on our evening news.
So the simple answer would be "yes" the world is in crisis! But only because we believe it to be.
There was no high profiled WORLD crisis going on in 1980.
The Syrian crisis is getting out of hand.Excuse me Mr Prime Minster, but we have a crisis on our hands. The nuclear crisis was the beginning of the end of the world.
The Moroccan crisis and the Bosnian crisis
