It all depends... an Xbox is more of an invesment, since you have to buy games, controllers, Xbox Live... but it can also be more entertaining, an iPod Touch is also a good choice, but mainly if you travel a lot, or if you like to be more mobile, but if i had to pick, I'd go with an Xbox 360, (there's lots of debates, but personally, get the 360, not the newer Xbox One) the iPod can be a bad choice, because, it breaks easy, and it's practically just a smart phone without a bill (wich can be good and bad, depends on your perspective)

I believe the xbox is a good system and the controllers are a lot more Relaxing. the ps3 is a good family system because it has a blueray player and lots of add ons. (plus a 100$ addition.
