Not on the island itself, as it's still growing, but the neighboring islands have inhabitants. They should be safe. Their children shouod be safe. I'm not taking odd's on the Great Great G G G G Grandchildren. It may be large enough to go off again in anywhere from 500 to 1000 years between major eruptions. So I guess we're safe till about 2300 or so.
